Load multiple overlapping geo-registered LIDAR data and imagery files and display the information in an interactive 3D viewer.  Import LAS, GEOTIFF and PLY files.  Millions of points can be loaded at one time.

Automatically analyze the point cloud, and identify the features within it.  Clusters of points are identified as features (buildings and trees), which are then separated from the terrain and color coded by type. As the 3D features are automatically isolated from the terrain, the feature footprints are automatically filled in to preserve the continuity of the terrain skin. The terrain skin is converted from points to an efficient terrain mesh, which can be exported as a Bare Earth DEM.

Uses textures to create a new level of realism to the 3D point cloud scene. This scene of Huntsville AL is from the 3D interactive point cloud viewer in LIDAR Fusion GEOINT.
The point cloud is draped with satellite imagery, with each 3D point painted with the corresponding pixel.  This technique enhances the scene realism by adding depth and shading.

The Google EarthTM correlation feature allows you to select any position in the LIDAR Fusion scene and pop up the corresponding Google Earth view.  The selected point coordinates are displayed in a variety of coordinate sets, including geodetic and UTM.

LIDAR Fusion GEOINT supports visualization of 3D stereo data.

This scene from LIDAR Fusion GEOINT shows a city block in San Francisco. The scene contains a fusion of street level 3D stereo data at near range and low altitude, which is filled in by aerial LIDAR data at the far range and higher altitudes, The result is a navigable 3D environment of an urban cityscape.

This LIDAR Fusion GEOINT scene is of the Smithsonian Castle on the National Mall.

This single perspective street-level capture of a 3D Stereo point cloud can be merged with other camera angles in LIDAR Fusion to complete any gaps in the interactive 3D scene.

LIDAR Fusion can handle point cloud data from any nadir or oblique angle of capture, with any degree of overlap.

CG² is partnered with Interactive Tactical Group, Inc, (ITG) for street level 360º imagery. The imagery is collected using stereo photogrammetric technology utilizing software licensed from NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Each pixel in the high resolution panoramas has associated 3D data. ITG recently completed a 500Km Mobile 3D mapping data collection effort in Washington DC. Contact CG2 for additional information.
